Hayspur Fishing Day 2024

Called Beyond is an Idaho non-profit that takes kids (and their families) with disabilities, illness, loss, or other obstacles on outdoor adventures. 
They are currently taking applications for the below event.

Hayspur Fishing Day 2024

  • Called Beyond is teaming up with Idaho Fish and Game to give youth with disabilities a fun fishing day!
  • This adventure starts with a short clinic where attendees will learn the basics of fishing (casting, reeling, etc.)
  • The kids will then have the opportunity to practice what they learned by fishing in stocked ponds with fishing experts at their side.
  • The day will culminate in a bbq in the park.

Who is eligible:

  • Youth with disabilities, under age18, must be an Idaho resident
  • Where: Hayspur Fish Hatchery, Picabo, Idaho
  • All fishing equipment will be provided.
  • There is no cost to participants.
  • Applicants do not need a fishing licensee as Called Beyond and Idaho F&G will facilitate that process upon selection.
  • Parents and/or a guardian are required to be on-site and encouraged to join the child in all events.
